Register the vSphere Agent with Portal

To register the vSphere Agent with Portal, enter the following command in the Agent CLI:

webcc register [<PortalAddress>] [<port>] [<login>] [<password>]

Where:

•      <PortalAddress> is the Portal IP address or host name.

•      <port> is the port used to communicate with Portal. The default port is 8086.

•      <login> is the username for logging in to Portal.

•      <password> is the password for logging in to Portal.

If you do not include the <PortalAddress>, <port>, <login> or <password> parameter in the command, the following questions prompt you for the information:

•      What is the Web-based Agent Console address?

•      What is the Web-based Agent Console connection port? [8086]

Note: Press Enter to accept the default port of 8086.

•      What is your Web-based Agent Console username?

•      What is your Web-based Agent Console password?

When the registration is complete, a “Registration complete. Agent restarted successfully” message appears.
